Deus is always in the background, waiting for you to wake it up by saying its name. No data is sent to our servers until you wake it up. That's possible due to Deus's sophisticated wake-up word detection technology that runs completely offline, on your computer. When you wake up Deus, you'll see its menu bar icon turn orange, indicating that it's listening.

We designed Deus from the very start to be fast and responsive. We take no compromises on giving our users the best performance and user experience. That said, Deus utilizes very low resources while achieving that. On a modern computer, Deus will use about 2.5% of CPU resources or less. And because it's a native app, you can expect a very small memory footprint.

We take your privacy very seriously. We take the same care of our users' data as we would want other companies to treat our own data and personal information. This is why what you say to Deus is not associated with your identity — so your personal information isn’t gathered to sell to advertisers or other organizations. The data we gather is used to improve our product and understand how people are using it, so we can continue to give you and others the best user experience possible. This is why whatever you say to Deus is: • Anonymized when saved on our servers. All names, addresses, and phone numbers are replaced by non-identifiable tokens. • Isn't linked to your identity. All our users' data is never linked to their account/profile or any other account/profile. This is why, no one, not even us, could link your data to your identity. The only thing we do associate with your identity is metadata. This may include: • How much you use our app, what kind of features are you using and how often, etc...
